General Manager

The General Manager will be an exceptional leader whose role will be to build and maintain our market presence in Salt Lake City, Utah. The position will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, mentoring and developing a winning outside sales team that is highly transactional and business customer focused. Will have full P&L responsibility. The position will guide our direct and indirect sales channels, as well as our technical and support teams toward building a profitable and successful business with a key focus on providing an extraordinary customer experience.

Requirements

  • Develop, drive and execute a strategic plan for all distribution channels including direct and indirect sales.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis and sales forecasting for all distribution channels to ensure gross add objectives are attained.
  • Play critical role in establishing indirect dealer relationships in the local market.
  • Coach, develop and motivate employees to achieve both individual and company objectives.
  • Maintain a pipeline of potential employees.
  • Develop key local strategic partner relationships for the market
  • Effectively manage operational and administrative processes for local market.
  • Establish and maintain strong community relationships on Telesphere's behalf.
  • Partner with Marketing to roll out programs in support of local revenue goals.
  • Ensure market profitability.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of Director or General Manager experience in the landline telecommunications, wireless or cable industry is required.
  • 5+ years of successful experience recruiting, managing, motivating and developing a highly dynamic and aggressive outside sales team.
  • 2+ years of experience in a high transactional business to consumer or small business sales environment
  • 2+ years of experience successfully managing sales distribution channels
  • Track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
  • Established professional network in local community preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, unstructured work environment.
  • Effective, professional communication and presentation skills.
  • Must possess superior communication, presentation and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
