Indirect Channel Manager

The Ideal candidate for this position will have exceptional leadership skills with a passion and dedication for mentoring and coaching sales agents. This candidate will be responsible for aggressively driving and setting strategy, recruiting, developing and expanding a strong channel partner network and agent program consistent with Telesphere business priorities. To be successful in this position requires the ability to build and execute against a strategic plan while managing the overall operations and performance of the channel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall business plan to achieve channel performance goals.
  • Manage the overall monthly performance of Telesphere Authorized Representatives within your market.
  • Identify new market opportunities for expanded distribution channels.
  • Assist in the management of national partner relationships.
  • Drive marketing support, product trainings, relationship management and performance tracking for all Telesphere Authorized Representatives.Develops, drives, supports and manages channel partners in order to build a robust indirect channel revenue stream.
  • Carefully matches Telesphere value proposition to recruiting strategies to ensure the correct channel partners and/or agents are attracted.
  • Ensure we are proactively working deals with each partner. Monitor and track deals to ensure we are moving to closure and that we are treating partners fairly.
  • Achieves assigned business objectives. Ensuring that channel programs, profitability gross margin metrics are consistent with company objectives.
  • Strives to increase awareness and visibility of the company in the sector.
  • Prepares weekly forecasting, pipeline for review and input with the Director of Channel sales and the General Manager of the local market.

Experience/Qualifications Preferred:

  • 10+ years of solid indirect sales and leadership experience
  • Experience identifying, recruiting, training and managing indirect channel relationships.
  • Start-up experience is a plus.
  • Strong intellectual and creative abilities balanced with solid experience in driving and achieving results.
  • Strong network of industry relationships to cultivate for success.
  • Aggressive, results oriented style that rewards teamwork.
  • Strongest possible personal and professional ethics and integrity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS Required
  • Extensive rolodex and relationships with the local market integrators and agencies.
  • Proven track record in developing a predictable and sustainable channel program
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience creating presentations and delivering them to partners, sales teams and customer prospects.
  • Must have strong technical aptitude characterized by the ability to understand IP and IP telephony technical concepts, value proposition and the benefits
  • Strong prospecting skills and abilities - established professional network in local community preferred.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with strong customer service follow-up, solid training and influencing skills.
  • Exhibits enthusiasm, high energy and a tremendous work ethic.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to participate in evening and weekend event.
