With more than twenty-three years of experience in the
telecommunications industry, Clark Peterson brings extensive leadership
and insight to his role as Chief Executive Officer of Telesphere. His
experience, spanning both the wireline and wireless industries, has
been with some of the most respected names in the telecommunications
industry.
Most recently, Mr. Peterson served as President at Clearwire. As one of
the founding employees of Clearwire, Mr. Peterson was a key part of
building Clearwire’s foundation and successfully executing its
business plan. Under a strong management team the company grew to over
800 employees, 88,000 customers and raised over 2 billion dollars in
funding during his tenure there. Before that, Mr. Peterson was
President of the West Region for XO Communications, the nation’s
largest competitive local exchange carrier. While overseeing XO’s
largest region, he was responsible for the management of over 260
employees spread over several markets, including the major markets of
Los Angeles and San Francisco. He also performed several other roles
with XO, including serving as the General Manager for NEXTLINK and
building the Las Vegas market from inception.
Mr. Peterson has also held other various sales and marketing management
positions in the wireless industry, including Director of Sales and
Marketing at AT&T Wireless Services, a Director at McCaw Revenue
Development, and a Product Director for McCaw Cellular
Communications/Cellular One. Mr. Peterson was twice voted “Top 40
Businessmen under 40” in the state of Nevada. Mr. Peterson has a
degree in business management from BYU.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Telesphere, Boys
& Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, Phoenix Chamber of Commerce,
Tempe Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts of America - Grand Canyon
District, and is Chairman of the Cloud Communication Alliance.
