Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer is responsible for achieving and exceeding targeted revenues and increase and maintain overall profitability, through direct support of the sales team efforts and high level customer service. Through ongoing interaction with Account Executives and Operations, the Sales Engineer provides the technical support necessary for the Sales Department in the development of quotes and the selling of Voice/Data products and services, primarily VoIP solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Accompanies Account Executives on sales calls.
  • Provides customers with technical information and advice on industry matters.
  • Supports Sales Department in the development, maintenance, and expansion of sales opportunities through technical knowledge.
  • Reviews Quotes, RFP's, plans and other customer documents to develop and prepare a response or proposal.
  • Establishing trust and build loyalty with key influencers and decision-makers to build solid relationships.
  • Develop and maintain strong liaison with Customers
  • Assists in the development of sales proposals.
  • Conduct technical interviews with the customers to clearly define their telecommunication needs.
  • Prepares and delivers effective presentations regarding the company's products and services.
  • Conducts product demonstrations as required.
  • Provides training and presentation tools to sales force for conducting effective presentations and demonstrations on company's technologies to prospects and potential customers.

Skill Set:

  • A successful Engineering track record.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, build and maintain strong relationships both externally and internally.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems or situations and develop effective solutions or course of actions.
  • Ability to present and/or demonstrate various solutions tclients.
  • High-level ability to manage all aspects of the sales cycle.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of telecommunications products and services.
  • Great degree of motivation and professionalism - An extremely goal- oriented attitude.
  • Respond to RFP/RFI requests from client organizations.
  • Ability to work well independently and within team environment

Requirements:

  • College Degree Preferred
  • Two-Five years Telecom Experience
  • Voice and Data Product Certifications Preferred
  • Computer Skills
  • Exceptional Presenter
  • Willing to undertake occasional intrastate travel
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communications Skills
