Service Delivery - Project Manager
The Project Manager provides end to end project management and coordination for the implementation of Hosted IP telecom solutions to large size, strategic customers across the country. She or he provides a technical Project Management resource for the delivery team while managing the deployment of complex and custom hosted VoIP.
Responsibilities
- Maintain complete control and responsibility for the entire installation and implementation process for a single project environment
- Review all project documentation and conduct the Project Kick-Off meeting
- Facilitate conference calls and/ or on site meetings for key milestones such as Kick Off Meeting, Client Configuration Capture, Cutover, etc.; Host weekly status call with customers
- Provide coordination of internal and external resources to ensure a successful installation implementation and resolution of any post cutover deficiencies, including, but not limited to, the coordination of the Project Team and outside vendors
- Serve as the first level operational escalation point for all assigned customers related issues
- Engage in the Pre-Sales process with the appropriate Account Sales Rep, Engineer, and Customer
- Engage Voice and Network architecture engineers to provide applicable network diagrams
- Provide professional consultation on hardware, software, and network solutions to effectively meet the customer's business needs
- Additional responsibilities as position requires
Requirements
- 4 year degree in business and/or technology preferred
- 3 – 7+ years project management experience with fundamental knowledge in telecommunications and data communications networks
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Experience using PC based project management systems such as MS Project and Visio; high level skills required with other PC tools, such as spreadsheet and database programs
- Possess enhanced organizational, leadership, management and multi-tasking skills
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills required in order to interact both orally and written with customers and management
- Proven ability to work effectively with contractors and vendors in managing the installation of hardware, software, inside/outside plant and equipment
- Ability to meet deadlines, work and communicate effectively with the stress of a fast-paced environment
