National Indirect Sales Engineer
The National Indirect Sales Engineer is responsible for achieving and exceeding targeted revenues and increasing and maintaining overall profitability, through direct support of the Indirect Sales Team sales efforts and high level customer service. Through ongoing interaction with Indirect Channel Managers, Channel Partners, Customers, and Telesphere Operations, the National Indirect Sales Engineer provides the technical support necessary for the Indirect Sales Department in the development of quotes and the selling of Voice/Data products and services, primarily VOIP solutions. The National Indirect Sales Engineer will also be responsible for developing and managing a centralized sales engineering team that will provide sales engineering support to the Indirect Sales Department and Channel Partner companies via telephone.
Responsibilities
- Provide channel partners and customers with configuration assistance for all of Telesphere’s products and solutions
- Provide channel partners and customers with technical information and advice on industry matters
- Support Indirect Sales Department in the development, maintenance and expansion of sales opportunities through technical knowledge
- Provide sales engineering support company wide, including support of direct sales team as needed
- Review quotes, RFP’s, plans and other customer documents to develop and prepare a response or proposal
- Develop and conduct web-based and in person product demonstrations for prospective customers
- Develop and deliver training webinars
- Be the subject matter expert on all existing and future Telesphere products and services; the go-to resource in the development and roll out of new products, working with marketing to develop collateral and create necessary internal and channel training
- Establish trust and build loyalty with key influencers and decision-makers to build solid relationships
- Develop and maintain strong liaison with channel partners and customers
- Conduct technical interviews with customers to clearly define needs
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of commonly asked presales questions and answers
- Accompany Indirect Channel Managers on sales calls in the field when required
- Be experienced in managing Indirect Sales Engineers and driving a national plan that accomplishes the overall indirect sales and install goals
Requirements
- Must have strong technical aptitude and experience with IP and IP telephony products, concepts, value proposition and benefits
- Ability to analyze complex problems or situations and develop effective solutions or course of action
- Ability to create Visio diagrams for customer network designs
- Demonstrated ability to develop, build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally
- High-level ability to manage all aspects of sales cycle
- Great degree of motivation and professionalism – A goal oriented attitude
- Minimum of three to five years telecom experience
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel on an as needed basis for partner and customer meetings
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in a sales engineering management role of building and managing a national sales engineering team
- College Degree preferred
- Voice and Data product certifications preferred
- 3+ years experience as sales engineer
